Michael Yang is founder and CEO of technology hedge-fund company Michael Yang Capital Management, LLC, which invests for long-term capital appreciation in public equities of disruptive information technology.  As an angel investor Yang invests in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum and startups such as Korbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Korea. Yang founded several Silicon Valley internet startups, including UCode,  Become, Inc., Verifia, and mySimon.com which was sold to CNET for $700 million. He has served as a director on the board of Hanmi Bank, one of the largest banks serving multi-ethnic communities in the United States. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, an MS in Computer Science from Columbia, and an MBA from UC Berkeley. He’s served as an economic advisor at Stanford University, and an IT advisor to President George W. Bush. He holds a fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
