Companies he co-founded and operates to help bring decentralized finance to Latin America’s 250 million unbanked people include Rootstock, the first open-source peer-to-peer smart-contract payment network with a two-way peg to Bitcoin; and Koibanx, a smart-contract blockchain company that among other things gives small investors access to investment opportunities formerly available only to big investors. Zaldívar is co-founder of Clarín Digital (Argentina’s leading news website), Patagon.com (sold for 750M), Internet Argentina (first ADSL ISP in Argentina), Edunexo (SaaS education), Restocoins (bitcoin payment for restaurants), and others.
