Daniel Cawrey is the co-founder of Pactum Capital, a company that offers over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives to institutions to gain exposure to Bitcoin and digital assets while enabling other companies to manage digital asset price risk. Prior to Pactum, Cawrey was COO at ZapChain, which built and operates a blockchain-based tipping system. He’s a contributing editor at CoinDesk, the largest news resource about the blockchain and digital currency industries. His writing has also appeared on the websites of IBM, The Motley Fool, ReadWrite, United Business Media, and InformationWeek’s owner. At the onset of the cloud-computing era, Cawrey applied his IT experience to journalism by launching a tech blog, The Chrome Source, for which he wrote, edited, and marketed the publication’s coverage of developments in Google Chrome, Chrome OS, and webapps. At Google in Washington, D.C., Cawrey served as a certified Google Apps Deployment Engineer.
